Belgium 2017
Belgium 2017
May:
Sent a team of 3 people for 10 days to serve and evangelize to the refugees in Belgium, most of refugees where Sudanese, Moroccan and some Egyptians.
We sent a team of 3 girls to serve refugees in Belgium, and they were keen to:
- Attending a meeting with a group of Moroccans and getting to know them.
- They visited the Moroccans market and talk about Jesus with some people there.
- A visit to a church where refugees meet and talk, the team shared the good news with them.
- Attending a meeting of Syrians and getting to know them and share the message of God with them.
- The team was invited to serve at the women’s meeting in the church and it was an encouraging time for them as well as to us.
- Going to serve breakfast to a group of different Arab nationalities in cooperation with the United Nations and talking to them about God indirectly (they are all young men)
- Meeting with some believers of 4 different nationalities; two days in row.
- Meeting with a Moroccan woman; she has arrived to Belgium 30 years ago, and shared the message of Christ with her. She told us, "No one has done to me like you did."
- Met a Syrian woman in an area of team’s residence and delivered the message of Christ to her.
- Attending a day in a discipleship conference and met 3 Egyptians residing in Holland - England – Spain, shared the message of Christ with them.
Challenges:
- Differences in language and accents
- There is a need to have men in the coming teams, as all refugees’ gatherings are young men fleeing through illegal immigration, and therefore there are no girls.
